We are just starting out, and we mean business.
We are a project and competition focused student society at Izmir Institute of Technology, bringing together students who want to grow in robotics.
Who are we?
IZTECH Robotic Systems (IRS) was founded at Izmir Institute of Technology in autumn 2026. Our members come from different engineering departments and work together across mechanics, electronics and software to build robotic systems.
Our technical work starts in October 2026. Our first goal is to enter the arena of the ARC Robotics Championship (ARCC) with a robot we design and build ourselves.
Our goal is to represent IZTECH and Türkiye in national and international robotics competitions, to give students hands-on experience in real engineering projects and to build strong ties with industry.

Designing and building a robot from scratch means applying what we learn in class under budget, weight and time constraints.
Interdisciplinary work
Mechanics, electronics and software meet in the same robot; every team has to understand the others’ work.

Competition projects connect students with material suppliers, software companies and industry.
Why ARCC?
ARCC is an international arena and a competition that challenges mechanics, electronics and software at the same time. The robot has to move, find its target, shoot accurately and withstand hits. That makes it an ideal goal for a team to grow together in every discipline.
